I discover sounds and ways to use them using synthesizers and my audio recording devices. The results occasionally turn into music.

Gorr was founded in the late dark months of 2019 by Skuggimaðr (Gjøran Sæther) after he heard the old story about the local king named Gorr. The story about him and the locations for it suited perfectly as inspiration for a black metal project that was still a “wanted child” but not yet born. The location is where Skuggimaðr lives and is an island on the north west coast of Norway called Gossen.
The first EP was named Svart (black in Norwegian), and was made by Skuggimaðr with some help from Hateful Wind (Evan Barton) on guitars. After the EP Hateful Wind joined Gorr and is now a big part of the creative process together with Skuggimaðr. The debut album out and is called Likstadberget
…or something like this translated:
It was a precarious time of assault and robbery, many times of the rising people, but most of the mighty sea king Gorr and his numerous and warlike relatives. Gorr lived on the island of Gossen in Møre, and the trip was short to Trøndelag and into the fjords to Gaula and Orkla. He and his men were so strong that even today in Trøndelag they call such a guy a “gosse”.

Label:
The label doesn't make any contracts with its artists, allowing them total freedom in regards to decision making. The musicians own all their music, with audiokontor just providing support and an outlet for their craft.
The label is still young, and was born out of a passion Marius Hammerich shared with a couple of befriended artists. But when it comes to the label's future, he's tight-lipped to the max.
Audio Services:
Mixing:
Recording fantastic raw tracks is just the start of achieving a fantastic-sounding, competitive production of your music. The next step in the process can be the difference between your music receiving a lukewarm reception and gaining lifelong fans.
Using a range of techniques, Mixing adds power and punch, brings out the emotion in your track and ultimately creates a much more powerful connection with your listeners.
Mastering:
With careful use of digital plugins and analogue hardware for EQ, compression, balancing, automation, limiting and many other advanced techniques, we can provide a finished master you can truly be proud of.
Individual songs are maximised and optimised for CD and radio as well as online platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Tracks that form EPs or albums are treated to ensure consistency between each song, and a DDP can be created for CD duplication.

Musician from #Leipzig. Born at 331.92 ppm in DDR. When I was 13 the iron curtain fell - one of the strangest events I experienced. When the dust had settled, I started making music. Just released my first EP "Arbeit oder Liebe", whose title track I wrote in a dream.

still unsure, but doing it anyway
a micro-label to expose and escape
within tsunami records, a clear connection emerges among the artists and their works.
each one boldly explores the boundaries of music, blending diverse influences to create unique sonic landscapes.
whether through the meticulous deconstruction of the electric guitar, the fusion of cinematic composition and dance, or audacious sonic experimentation, these artists share an innovative and unconventional approach to music creation.
the label stands out as a space dedicated to pushing boundaries, where creativity and sonic exploration take center stage in each production.
feel free to listen, download, contribute a fair amount if you can, and share.
this is a work in progress. more artists will join. please come back later.
more independent music ?

The dark, whimsical debut release of Underscore in 2017 set the stage for TWUNI, the solo project of Devin Canterberry, former guitarist of the Louisiana psychedelic rock group, Rosenthal. Underscore pays homage to electro pop, with the stylings of Shatterproof calling back to Depeche Mode and the bangin' cover of LCD Soundsystem's Get Innocuous!
In 2021, The Dreamer's Drive single brought cascading guitar rhythms reminiscent of Duran Duran, a driving slap bassline, and the haunting vocals of a sentient automaton. This mostly-analog track, recorded and mixed on basic software, was a complete 180° from its digitally produced predecessor.
The Eventide Triad, Part 1, took yet another turn. This instrumental space opera concept album was written and recorded live over a series of improvisational mood studies.
The genre-defying Another Time, Another Place juxtaposes Underscore's electro and VGM vibes with guitar-centric alt-rock, like Butthole Surfers meets Twin Peaks.
Intrinsic Duality sheds all pretense of electro pop and commits itself to being a full alt-rock album. Deeply lyrical, this intimate album plays out like a journal entry.
Hyperspace revisits that cyber rock era once again in a loving nod to Datarock and Thomas Dolby.
TWUNI continues to surprise and delight fans in each release, expanding its universe and taking the sound in interesting, and sometimes bizarre, directions.

Velstandsfanden dukker opp igjen.
Når du minst aner det.
Som julenissen på kjærringa!
