Programming complications
For this article, I hereby define “complication” as “something that can’t be detangled from its outside”.
90% of the complications i encountered in software development are caused by people’s hallucinations.
the rest 10% are hallucinated directly by me or otherwise.
90% of feature requests I received are hallucinated
I’m not talking about the open source community, which is like heaven when compared to the harsh reality that is called “the general population”.
Examples:
Q: I want to buy for stuff with electronic transaction without leaving a trace.
A (me): Ask your government to cancel banking KYC or use crypto.
Q: … and I will pay you at most 14EUR/hour for your work to finish my request.
A (me): …
Q: I want to achieve .
A (me): What is ?
Q: is .
A (me): What is ?
Q: Why are you attacking me? Why can’t you speak in a way that I can understand?
A: … What languages do you know?
Q: Chinese (Mandarin)?
A: What is Chinese?
Q: A language used by China?
A: What about Malaysia?
Q: See? You are attacking me again instead of trying to understand me.
I shall applaud companies who can profit from them using software, for exerting the effort.
90% of people I met hallucinate in ≥60% of their thoughts
How to diagnose someone’s mental complications?
大般若經第十會 般若理趣分(卷578) says: 敬禮甚深般若波羅蜜多!覺性金剛! which means that 甚深般若波羅蜜多 ≈ 覺性金剛.
覺性 ≈ Awareness
金剛 ≈ immovable object
If this immovable object is moved through a person, all that person’s mental complications and non-complications are displaced. An exact diagnosis can be made by observing the displacement without guessing.
That exact diagnosis cannot be expressed with language or computation, no.
A list of programming complications
If someone can (theoretically) achieve something but can’t due to mental complications they have, it’s because of these 3 reasons (rare cases excluded):
- They don’t want to.
- They don’t dare to.
- They don’t care to.
Not wanting to do something is not a mental complication, but both wanting and not wanting in the same thought is. Being in an unstable state like a flip flop also counts.
et sic de ceteris.
The Buddhist religion describes this world and many other worlds as 苦海, which ≈ sea of suffering. We will borrow the analogy.
From what I’ve seen so far, there are people who:
- lies flat and float on top
- is used to swimming
- loves swimming
- is used to drinking
- loves drinking
- is used to drowning
- loves drowning
The classification is for the lols; please do not use it for diagnostics without guessing.
Conclusion
Dogs hallucinate in ~20% of their thoughts.
