Suppose there is a bird who can’t find food for itself. Either they have been raised this way, or the environment does not support it looking for food on their own.
Should it be locked inside a cage with plenty of food and water, only let out to exercise a few times a day? Should it be let out, only allowed to eat and drink a few times a day? Or, should it be allowed to do whatever it can at all times?
For a bird, I suppose it can be let free to do whatever it wants.
