Thoughts on fish-shell/fish-shell#10205

• Fish version 3.7.0 was released on 2024-01-01, which contained the bug.
• I reported the bug on 2024-01-09.
• The bug was immediately fixed on the same day.
• Fish version 3.7.1 was released on 2024-05-19, which contained the fix.

Between the overworked maintainers, fish being a shell and glob expansion being broken for 2 months, Apple taking even longer to fix critical security issues, I don’t know I have any takeaway here.

If you are reading this, you have free time, you can code, please help out the Fish project with release engineering.

They clearly didn’t want my help, so, I don’t know if they will take your help. You can try, I guess.

At least I tried.
